2013 On May 9th, AIDI launched China’s first “Green Channel for Retinal Detachment”. AIDI Eye Hospital became the only emergency center in Sichuan for RD treatment, offering first-aid to RD patients and doing their utmost to save patients’ eyesight.
On Jun. 1st, Shiranthi Rajapaksa, the first-lady of Sri Lanka, officially met the AIDI delegation led by Dr. Yao, the Honorary Director of AIDI Eye Hospital
On Aug. 10th, invited by Myanmar MYOTAW Medical Center, the foreign aid expert team led by Prof. Lian Hao – Vice President of AIDI Eye Hospital and Chief physician of Cataract Department, conducted 137 charitable cataract operations in Myanmar. On Sept. 10th, with the witness of Prof. Zhao Kanxing - Chairman of Chinese Ophthalmological Society, consul of Sri Lanka to Chengdu and leaders from provincial and municipal health system, AIDI Eye Hospital signed MOU for Strategic Cooperation with the Sri Lanka International Eye Bank.
In December, AIDI was certified as the top quality eye care provider of 2013 Qingyang District.
On Dec. 18th, AIDI was rewarded as the most capable ophthalmic institution in “Healthy City” media awards by Chengdu Commercial Daily.
On Jun. 30th Aidi conducted the most challenging ocular fundus operation in history: a successful operation for a cyclopia patient who had been shunned by over 10 hospitals. This all-time difficult multi-professional operation shocked the whole ophthalmic field.
On Dec. 25th, AIDI was entitled with The Most Influential Ophthalmic Brand in Model China 2013.
2014 March 25th, AIDI Eye Hospital carried out charitable cataract surgeries in Nepal May 31st, 2014 Western China Diseases of Ocular Fundus and Corneal Transplantation Symposium was held in AIDI Eye Hospital, more than 300 ophthalmologists took part in the event
August 5th, the former first lady of Sri Lanka and Chinese Ambassador to Sri Lanka unveiled AIDI International Cooperative Eye Bank. It is the first international cooperative eye bank in China
September 16th, the Vice President of AIDI Eye Hospital Dr. Yao Xiaoming led Chinese medical team to implement free cataract surgery for the local patients in Sri Lanka. The first lady of China and the former first lady of Sri Lanka attended the opening ceremony
2015 January 16th, invited by Myanmar Gorvernment, AIDI Eye Hospital carry out 193 charitable cataract surgeries for the local patients in Myanmar
January 16th, the famous singer Bella Yao donated one of her corneas to AIDI Eye Bank after she past away
January 17th, Bella Yao’s cornea was transplanted to a young man from Sichuan April 18th, the 2ndWestern China Diseases of Ocular Fundus and Corneal Transplantation Symposium was held in AIDI Eye Hospital
May, 11th, the 9th National Games of Disabled Persons of People's Republic of China & the 6th Special Olympics were held in Mianyang and Chengdu. AIDI Eye Hospital exclusively provided eye care service to 231 athletes of Chengdu competition area
August 7th, AIDI Eye Bank became the International Member Unit of American Sight Restoration
September, 29th, AIDI Eye Hospital was invited to attend the National Day Reception of Sichuan Provincial People’s Government
October 26th, AIDI Eye Hospital established the first Adolescent Myopia Prevention and Control Base in Chengdu
2016 March 4th, AIDI Eye Hospital rescued the 3 months old kid with congenital heart diseases who was the youngest volunteer of cornea donation
August 26th, former ambassador of Sierra Leone to China visited AIDI Eye Hospital and invited AIDI to carry out charitable cataract surgery in Sierra Leone
September 30th, AIDI Eye Hospital was invited to attend the National Day Reception of Sichuan Provincial People’s Government
October - December, AIDI Eye Hospital was awarded as the National Credible Private Hospital and Sichuan Provincial Credible Private Hospital
January 16th, AIDI Eye Hospital launched cornea donation activity, more than 200 people signed Cornea Donation Application Form
March 28th, AIDI Eye Bank and American Alabama Eye Bank established China America Cooperative Eye Bank
April 10th, AIDI Eye Hospital held 2017 Western China Diseases of Ocular Fundus and Ocular Surface, more than 500 ophthalmologists took part in the event
