Corneal Transplantation
Yao Xiaoming, is a national famous corneal transplantation expert, member of US Eye-Bank for Sight Restoration, council member of Chinese Medical Doctor Association, the chairman of Shenzhen Lions Eye Bank Committee and the academic leader of our Corneal Transplantation Department. He devotes himself to the clinic treatment and research of Keratopathy. The Corneal Transplantation Department has world-class checkout equipment for ocular surface disease such as Dry Eye Testing Instrument, Corneal Topography, and Specular Microscope. In all kinds of large and medium corneal diseases surgeries held by the Department, treatment technology for MGD, severe ocular burns and severe infectious keratitis is kept in the domestic leading level. Operations including Keratoplasty, Keratoplasty and Reconstruction of Ocular Anterior Segment, and Amniotic Membrane Grafting are all operated by the Department. At present, Aidi Eye Hospital has signed the MOU for Strategic Cooperation with Sri Lanka International Eye- Bank In the next decade, Sri Lanka International Eye- Bank will donate 500 pieces of cornea to Aidi Eye Hospital every year.
